Founded by Alvah C. Roebuck in 1896, Enterprise Optical Manufacturing Company initially produced projectors and audio systems for theaters, homes, and schools. The first theater-grade 35mm projector, the ‘Motiograph Model 1-A’, was released in 1911. In 1924 Roebuck sells Enterprise Optical and in 1936 the company is renamed Motiograph, Inc. releasing the popular Model K projector. By 1969, the company stopped renewing copyrights, and the last corporate listing was placed in 1973.

Reinstated under its founding title in 2024, Enterprise Optical Manufacturing Company is a publisher of today’s motion pictures.
